International Talk Like A Pirate
Day is on September 19 of every year. It was first established by a
couple of rogues named John Baur and Mark Summers in 1995 and brought
to life and national attention by Pulitzer Prize Winning Columnist and
seadog Dave Barry in 2002.
International Talk Like A Pirate Day gives rascals and wenches a chance
every year to don their pirate costumes and converse like scallywags.
Not only that, Talk Like A Pirate Day calls needed attention to the
plight of the endangered pirate species. |
