WHO IS Dear Miss Mermaid? Dear Miss Mermaid has been writing the local weather reports for  Tortola in the British Virgin Islands for umpteen years on the StormCarib.com website. Surviving hurricanes, writing on a laptop with a battery and cell connection to the Internet, she was able to put live reports out on the Internet throughout several storms. Often the weather just doesn't change much, so Dear Miss Mermaid, started writing about island life and the comedy of living on the edge of reason in the Caribbean.  Today the weather and island tales have a unique readership from around the world, some are folks who have never even been to the Virgin Islands, but like the funny tales of life in a strange island world. Recently Dear Miss Mermaid was in a bad accident and began scrambling for ways to make an income while laid up and recuperating. She has launched assorted products with her designs on them at Dear Miss Mermaid's Treasure Chest. Next she began putting together an Online  Store of nifty mail order items.  Take a peek at her NEW store. All proceed go toward the rehabilitation of her injured fin.  New products are added daily as this store rapidly expands.
