Her first contender repeatedly jostled his jockey and managed to  throw him  and his  scrap carpet saddle off several times. He also darted at the crowds, a bit confused. so the spectators were constantly moving around dodging the errant donkey.   Meanwhile Asspectations was cool as a cucumber, as she repeatedly beat all at a fast trot.

At one point Asspectations, slowed down to let her contender catch up, only to take off again and leave him in the dust, provided freely by the Sahara.

Tourist Attraction in the BVI
Shown above, one serious contender, who put on a good show at a slow trot.

In between breaks, folks replenished their cold drinks, bought snacks and jostled for better spectator positions.

All in all,  a very mellow  crowd turned out for a traditional day of fun at Carrot Bay Festival.

It was also a time for Carrot Bay Farmers to show off their crops with brisk sales in pumpkin, bananas, breadfruit, peppers, and sugar cane.

Asspectations was sited twice for trying to race across the start line before starting time, as shown here.
